Blue Inanga Greenstone Disc Pendant

This wonderful is a one off disc pendant. The pendant is suspended off a fully adjustable waxed nylon cord fitted. The pendant is carved from a beautiful Blue Inanga Jade, Inanga greenstone from the Arahura river on the west coast of New Zealand's south island. Inanaga means whitebait a small fish from New Zealand rivers, this greenstone is blue/pearly green in appearance. It is named after the native whitebait fish due to it's similar colouring.

This pendant is a one off carving and will not be available again.

This amazing pendant was hand carved on the west coast of New Zealand in Hokitika by master carver Glen Surgenor. Glen Surgenor has been carving greenstone for over 25 years. Glen uses traditional methods when carving, using traditional sand stone rubbing methods and hand sanding to a matte/satin sheen. This piece has a great antique look and nice artefact feel.

The pendant measures 42mm (1.65 inches) in Diameter and is 6mm (0.23 Inches) thick. The piece comes in a velvet pouch with a meaning card.
