Tangiwai Greenstone Disc Pendant

A wonderful disc pendant of New Zealand Pounamu / greenstone. The pendant is in the style of the traditioanl Maori disc. The pendant comes with an adjustable black cord.

This very special pendant is a one off carving and will not be available again.

Tangiwai Greenstone is a translucent olive-green, the stone is found mainly near the entrance to Milford Sound in the South Island of New Zealand. Tangiwai comes from the Maori legend which relates to the petrification of the tears of a lamenting woman.

The pendant measures 42mm (1.65 inches) across and 6mm (0.24 inches) deep.

The pendant comes on a traditional black waxed cord that is fully adjustable for the wearer, the piece comes in a jewellery box with a meaning card.
