Tangiwai Greenstone Koru Pendant

An amazing piece of Tangiwai Greenstone. This piece has been carved into a stylised open koru.

This Koru is a one off unique piece and will not be available again.

Tangiwai Greenstone is a translucent olive-green, the stone is found mainly near the entrance to Milford Sound in the South Island of New Zealand. Tangiwai comes from the Maori legend which relates to the petrification of the tears of a lamenting woman.

This piece was carved in Blenheim in the top of the south island of New Zealand.

The piece measures 53mm (2 inches) wide by 37mm (1.4 inches) tall and 4mm (.15 inches) deep. It comes with a black waxed adjustable cord, velvet pouch and meaning card.
