Hand Carved bone pendant in the shape of the mythical creature, the Manaia. The pendant measures 38mm long and 26mm wide. It comes hung on a black waxed cord and comes in a wooden jewellery box with meaning card.

The Manaia
The Manaia is a creature of Maori legend and myth. It is said to have had the head of a bird, the tail of a fish and the form of a human. Legend tells of the Manaia as a messenger which connects the real world to the spiritual world.

The manaia represents a symbol of spirituality and it is said to protect the wearer against negative energy or evil.
