Framed Maori Weapon - Patu Whakariro made from native Rimu from New Zealand and featuring paua inlay.
The frame measures 180mm wide (7 inches) and 230mm tall (9 inches) by 40mm deep (1 1/2 inches).
The Patu
The Patu or Waihaka, is a flat club style weapon. Traditionally it was made from bone and was used by skilled warriors in hand to hand combat. The Patu represents strength and power.
