The Mere / Patu.
This short flat club is known as a Mere, Patu or Waihaka. It traditional has been made from greenstone, bone or wood. It was used by skilled warriors. Nowadays it represents strength and power and the overcoming of adversity.
This weapon measures 380mm/15 inch long and 115mm/4.5 inches wide.
